Greenway Board of Directors

The Greenway Board of Directors meets regularly and works closely with homeowners and building management. All homeowners are welcome to attend board meetings, which are usually held on site.

Each board member is elected to a two-year term during the annual meeting. There are presently five committees that report to the Board of Directors:

  • The Engineering Committee, which works with the General Manager and Chief Engineer in the operation, maintenance and construction and/or improvements of the land and facilities for which the Greenway Council of Co-Owners and Board of Directors are responsible. This committee meets on a regular basis and presents their recommendations to the Board of Directors for approval. Once approved, a small Engineering Committee task force will assist with oversight of approved projects as needed.
  • The Finance Committee assists the General Manager in preparing the annual operating and reserve fund budgets. The Committee’s objectives are to spend The Greenway’s money in a prudent manner that will preserve The Greenway’s standing as a premier Houston high rise property. The Board has a fiduciary responsibility to all members of The Greenway Council of Co-Owners for management of The Greenway’s finances. The Chair of this committee works closely with the Greenway’s CPA and auditor.
  • The Resident Relations Committee plans and oversees resident get-togethers and other commemorative events, such as the annual Flag Day celebration, the summer “hot dogs and margaritas by the pool” Independence Day Party, and the annual Holiday Party.
  • The Nominating Committee secures and presents a slate of board candidates to the homeowners each year as existing board member terms conclude. Candidates are presented to homeowners during a “Meet the Candidates Night” held prior to the annual meeting, when voting is held.
  • The Community Relations Committee keeps up with developments in the neighborhood, including Metro’s proposed University Line, and other organizations and/or entities that impact life at The Greenway.
